That belief is at the heart of IET Learning Solutions, LLC.

Based in Central Florida, IET Learning Solutions develops practical educational and transition resources designed to help individuals with disabilities prepare for employment, greater independence, and successful adult lives. Rather than operating as a traditional vocational school, IET works to provide solutions that can be used by educators, schools, transition programs, families, and community partners wherever learning and transition preparation are taking place.

Experience That Shaped the Mission

IET Learning Solutions was founded by Akeem Bethea, an educator and workforce-development professional with more than 20 years of experience supporting employability initiatives and more than 10 years of teaching experience with individuals with disabilities.

His experience includes career and workplace instruction, job coaching, employment services, and involvement with transition programs such as Project SEARCH. Working directly with individuals, families, educators, employers, and community partners has provided firsthand insight into both the opportunities and the challenges that can arise during the transition from education to employment and adult life.

Those experiences helped shape a simple idea: transition education should be practical, measurable, and connected to the real world.

IET Learning Solutions was created to help turn that idea into resources that others can use.
