Our Story
Welcome to IET Learning Academy, a Christian-based vocational school dedicated to empowering persons with disabilities through rigorous employability skills education and real-world experience.
As an educator with Orange County Public School and curriculum developer, Akeem Bethea has played an integral role in sustaining the integrity of the Project SEARCH Program.
Throughout his career, he has established and developed partnerships with many businesses and organizations that host on the job training opportunities. Among these businesses are Advent Health, Orlando Health - Ocoee, Burlington Retail Stores, and the University of Central Florida.
Although Akeem loves what he does with OCPS, he believes that his relationship with Jesus, is what makes him a difference maker in the field of education. That's what makes IET different from any Career Experiences Program in Central Florida; we empower our students by praying for them and encouraging them with God's word.
